Job summary

Elements of Byron is seeking a Reservations Agent to manage accommodation bookings by phone, email and online platforms. You will confirm guest needs, coordinate pre-payments and support the Conferencing & Groups team with rooming lists and special requests such as amenities or welcome packs.

You will receive structured training and be paired with a buddy to ensure confidence handling enquiries. The role is full-time, 38 hours per week, with a 7-day rotating roster and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Experience in Reservations in a 4-5 star hotel/resort or inbound call centre.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Provide exceptional customer service by responding to guest requests promptly and courteously.
• Strong organisational skills with focus on quality and standards.
• Ability to multitask and handle high volume of calls and emails.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to communicate with a diverse range of people.
• Full availability to work weekends and public holidays.

The role:

Our Reservations Agents at Elements of Byron are responsible for managing accommodation bookings via phone, email and online booking platforms in a courteous and efficient manner. This includes assisting with initial enquiries through to bookings via phone, email, and third‑party platforms. Your strong communication skills will see you excel as you confirm individual accommodation needs and arrange pre-payments in line with resort procedures. The role also supports our Conferencing & Groups team with accommodation booking, updating guest rooming lists, and organizing special guest room requests such as amenities or welcome packs.

To set you up to succeed

You will receive structured training and be paired with a buddy to ensure you feel confident in handling enquiries independently.

The hours:

Full time permanent role available working 38 hours a week, across a 7-day rotating roster.

Ideally you will be an Australian Citizen or Resident, as this is a permanent position we are not able to consider someone on a WHV.

The shifts:

8am - 4pm, 9am - 5pm, 10am - 6pm

We are looking for people who can be flexible to work these shifts that includes a weekend or one weekend day.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Reservations role within a 4-5 star hotel/resort environment or an Inbound Call Centre role
• Well presented with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Provide exceptional customer service by responding to guest requests promptly, efficiently and courteously
• Strong organisational skills with a clear focus on quality and standards
• Ability to multitask and handle a high volume of calls and email enquiries
• Intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Office Suite and Opera System experience would be highly regarded
• Ability to communicate with a diverse range of people
