Job summary

Meli in Warrnambool is seeking a Renters Rights Service Intake & Triage Worker to help renters understand their options, access services, and move forward with confidence. This frontline role supports those facing housing insecurity and complex circumstances with empathy and practical information.

Based in Warrnambool, you will assess needs, coordinate referrals to housing, legal and community services, and contribute to a coordinated service system that strengthens tenancy outcomes within the

Qualifications

• Qualifications and / or experience in relevant field such as Law, Housing, Social Work, Community Services or DisputeResolution preferable.
• Experience and knowledge of the communityservices sector, and in particular the needs of/ and issues affecting childrenand families who are at risk of experiencing homelessness and /or familyviolence.
• Experience and/or knowledge in preparingrelevant industry documentation and client data reporting

Responsibilities

• Assess renters’ needs, urgency and safety risks to guide timely support.
• Empower renters with clear information about their rights, options and next steps.
• Connect people with appropriate housing, legal and community support services.
• Strengthen coordinated responses through trusted partnerships and referral networks
