Job summary

Gallagher Bassett is seeking a senior claims leader to provide day-to-day leadership and technical mentoring to a team delivering cost-effective, professional, and customer-focused claims service. This role emphasizes leadership, customer service and continuous improvement within a permanent full-time position with WFH flexibility.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of insurance experience with 3+ years in management.
• Strong expertise in General Liability, Historic Abuse and/or Professional Indemnity claims handling.
• Ability to build and develop client and service provider relationships.
• Ability to comply with relevant state legislation and policy interpretation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with commitment to quality and accuracy.
• ANZIIF Executive Certificate in General Insurance Claims or AQF Diploma (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and technical mentoring to your team.
• Deliver cost-effective, professional and customer-focused claims service.
• Lead quality assurance activities, including audits and data integrity.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and prevent recurring incidents.
• Manage team performance and staffing development.
• Oversee approvals outside of delegations related to payments, letters, and mediations.
