Gallagher Bassett in Sydney seeks an experienced Claims Team Leader to provide day-to-day leadership and technical mentoring, delivering cost-efficient, professional, customer-focused claims service while developing staff and driving quality initiatives.

This permanent full-time role offers hybrid work from our Sydney CBD office and WFH, with opportunities to enhance skills through claims training and exposure to both senior leadership and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• General Liability background with extensive insurance experience and at least 3 years management experience.
• Ability to build and develop business relationships with clients and service providers.
• Ability to comply with relevant state legislation and interpret insurance policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead claims team and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Drive continuous improvement and quality assurance activities.
• Manage approvals outside of team delegations (payments, letters, declinatures, mediations).
• Develop staff and implement training initiatives.
• Manage team performance against targets and SLAs.
