Job summary

ORS Positive Behaviour Support division is expanding and we are seeking our next clinician to join us in Australia. You will work with a national team of over 300 PBS Practitioners delivering clinical services to NDIS participants aged 0-65 across early intervention, school age, adolescent and adult services.

You will assess challenging behaviours, plan interventions and collaborate with families and allied health professionals to promote independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Psychology, Counselling, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, BCBA, Teaching, Social Work, Social Sciences, Criminology, Childhood Education & Care, Health Science, Allied Health or Nursing.
• NDIS Registration as a Behaviour Practitioner (or the ability to become registered).
• Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and other complex diagnoses (desirable).
• A car and licence.
• A National Police Clearance, Working With Children/Working with Vulnerable People Check & NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willing to obtain before commencement.

Responsibilities

• Assess and observe participants' challenging behaviours and work towards increasing skills and emotion regulation.
• Introduce replacement behaviours to reduce the use of restrictive practices.
• Develop PBS plans and assessments and implement with training and regular follow-up.
• Collaborate with allied health practitioners, support workers and family to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide ongoing review to support client growth over months or years.
