Job summary

Allcott Hire Pty is seeking an Accounts Receivable Officer in Australia to manage the early debt collection steps and lead the receivables function. The role reports to the CFO and Finance Manager and requires ensuring accurate allocation of receipts and timely responses to inquiries.

The ideal candidate holds an accounting qualification, can handle high-volume workloads, and communicates clearly in English. A portion of work may be done from home for experienced applicants.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Certificate / Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or Accounting.
• Experience in working within high volume environments.
• Knowledge of relevant accounting software.
• Proficient English communication skills.
• Fluent in English – both written and spoken.
• Ability to work towards a deadline.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Prior experience in financial roles is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Daily processing of all bank receipts ensuring accurate and complete allocation of all customer and general ledger receipts.
• Addressing and responding to customer inquiries and following up as required with internal staff.
• Reconciliation of customer accounts and follow up where required.
• Providing weekly performance reports of accounts receivable process.
• Managing the monthly reconciliation of control accounts.
• Follow up overdue invoices for allocated customer accounts
• Process the receipt of customers payments in the accounting systems
• Provide Ageing reports of overdue payments to Finance manager on daily, weekly, monthly basis
• Any ad hoc as required by the Management
