Job summary

seek.com.au is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable / Receivable & Collections Officer in Australia. The role involves managing end-to-end AP/AR, issuing invoices, tracking payments, and following up overdue accounts with clients.

You will report to Directors and contribute to a fast-paced finance environment while maintaining accuracy and strong stakeholder relationships. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in a similar role, strong communication and negotiation skills,

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Australia in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and prepare supplier payment runs accurately and on time.
• Reconcile supplier statements and respond to supplier enquiries, building strong supplier relationships.
• Prepare and issue client invoices and statements, and allocate and reconcile incoming payments.
• Monitor the debtors ledger and prepare aged debtor reports.
• Manage inbound and outbound calls and emails with clients regarding overdue accounts, negotiating fair and compliant payment arrangements.
• Maintain accurate client and supplier records, including all collection activity.
• Escalate unresolved accounts to the Directors as required.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and month-end processes.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and support general office administration and ad hoc tasks.
