Job summary

The Lucas Group is seeking a Senior Commercial Agronomist to take national ownership of market development, engaging with corporate farming operations and large family growers to design and implement season-long crop programmes. With 30+ years of IP and data, you’ll have autonomy, a platform, and the tools to build meaningful programs.

Remote work is preferred across SA, VIC or NSW with extensive national travel to drive results and grow nationwide partnerships with agribusinesses and growers.

Qualifications

• Proven success in agribusiness sales, business development or commercial agronomy.
• Strong, pre-existing relationships with key growers and influential agronomists.
• A commercial mindset that translates agronomic expertise into measurable grower value.
• The independence, resilience and drive to succeed in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.
• A genuine desire to build a market, not just service one.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead national relationships with agribusinesses and growers across Australia.
• Identify, pursue and convert new commercial opportunities.
• Design integrated crop programmes combining seed treatment, nutrition and bioproducts.
• Establish and manage a trial and demonstration programme. Then commercialise the outcomes.
• Work alongside distribution partners while directly owning key accounts.
• Operate with significant autonomy and direct access to the CEO.
