Job summary

Pearson Carter is seeking an IT Technician to deliver Level 2/3 technical support at a remote mining site in Perth. The role involves desktop, network, server and infrastructure duties to keep operations running smoothly on site.

The ideal candidate has FIFO experience and strong communication skills, with familiarity of Cisco, Dell, UCS and Pure Storage gear. Independent, hands-on work at a demanding site is required.

Qualifications

• FIFO experience is mandatory.
• Solid background in Level 2/3 IT support.
• Mining or remote-site experience is highly valued.
• Exposure to Cisco, Dell, UCS, Pure Storage and wireless technologies is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with stakeholders.
• Comfortable working solo in hot, remote and demanding conditions.
• OT/industrial technology experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2/3 support for onsite users and operational teams.
• Maintain and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, mobile devices and peripherals.
• Resolve issues across networking, wireless, communications and connectivity.
• Assist with server, storage and general infrastructure tasks.
• Perform routine maintenance, monitoring, patching and fault remediation.
• Work with enterprise hardware including Cisco, Dell, Cisco UCS, Pure Storage, and site wireless systems.
• Support remote-site operations and ensure continuity of critical IT services.
• Escalate complex technical issues and collaborate with broader engineering teams.
• Uphold strong communication, documentation and customer service standards.
