Job summary

Fugro is seeking an IT Support Engineer for Remote Operations and Connectivity based in Perth. You will support marine operations across APAC, delivering hands-on L1/L2 IT/OT support for the ROC and associated systems, while collaborating with global teams to deploy remote operations solutions.

The role involves regional travel to vessels and ROC locations, system maintenance, and documentation. A tertiary IT/ENG degree and strong networking, security, and incident response skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Tertiary degree in Information Technology, Engineering or a related field with networking knowledge.
• Experience in L2 IT/OT support in remote sites or vessels.
• Experience with network troubleshooting, system monitoring, and runbooks.
• Strong endpoint security, identity/access management, and incident response.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to sites for builds and vessel mobilisation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on L1/L2 IT/OT support for Remote Operations Centre, ensuring stable and reliable systems and connectivity.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and service requests.
• Serve as first-point contact for applications and technical guidance/recommendations.
• Perform maintenance activities including patching, software updates, endpoint support, account administration, system audits and backup validation.
• Assess and enhance remote operations systems and connectivity by identifying performance issues and improvement opportunities.
• Maintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation including inventory and system diagrams.
• Collaborate with global teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deploy solutions and drive improvements.
