Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive and empathetic Remote HR Generalist to support operations in Queenstown and beyond. The role focuses on employee relations, resolving conflicts, and promoting fair HR practices within a fully remote, distributed team.

You will manage the employee lifecycle, advise managers, deliver training on conduct and inclusion, and help maintain confidential records while upholding data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in HR, with a significant portion in employee relations.
• Strong knowledge of Australian labour laws and best practices in conflict resolution.
• Excellent communication, mediation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and maintain confidentiality remotely.
• Experience with HRIS and standard office productivity software.

Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve employee relations issues, including investigations, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
• Advise managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment law interpretations.
• Develop and deliver training on topics such as workplace conduct, diversity, and inclusion.
• Facilitate employee engagement initiatives and feedback mechanisms in a remote setting.
• Support the implementation of HR programs and policies to ensure fair and consistent application.
• Maintain confidential employee records and ensure data integrity.
