Employee Matters is redefining HR and seeks a brilliant HR Generalist (our "Employee Expert") to join a thriving, virtual team. You’ll support, advise and coach a diverse client portfolio from a Sydney-based, work-from-home setup with regular client visits across Australia.

With 10+ years in HR Generalist roles, you’ll translate HR strategies into commercial outcomes, influence stakeholders, and manage flexible hours (30–38 per week) for a range of SMEs to large corporations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of HR Generalist experience across varied client portfolios.
• Commercially sharp with ability to translate HR strategies into tangible business outcomes.
• Master of Influence: build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Adaptable & agile; able to ramp up or down with client needs.
• Tech-savvy; comfortable with modern IT tools; Google Workspace is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Support, advise and coach clients across a diverse range of sectors from home.
• Collaborate with interstate clients as needed and manage flexible schedules.
• Deliver strategic HR programs and partner with senior decision makers.
• Ensure compliance and risk management for client organisations.
• Drive meaningful relationships with a varied client portfolio.
