Job summary

Purple Playground is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support 8-10 active clients across the employee lifecycle from a home-based setup. You’ll advise business owners and leaders, interpret awards and policies, and help organisations implement practical, compliant people practices.

You'll manage onboarding, employee relations, and HR documentation while traveling to Gold Coast meetings as required. This flexible role values autonomy, relationship building and real-world problem solving.

Qualifications

• Recent, demonstrated experience in a hands-on generalist HR role, with accountability across the end-to-end employee lifecycle.
• Part-time arrangements require a minimum of 5 hours per day, Monday to Friday.
• You’ll be the primary point of contact for your clients, building trusted relationships and supporting them through a wide range of people-related challenges and opportunities.
• Applicants must be able to travel to these meetings when reasonably required.

Responsibilities

• Providing practical HR advice to business owners and leaders.
• Interpreting Modern Awards, classifications and pay rates.
• Drafting contracts, policies, letters and HR documents.
• Supporting onboarding and employee lifecycle activities.
• Maintaining accurate client records and documenting advice provided.
• Reviewing and improving HR processes and people practices.
• Managing employee relations and performance matters.
• Developing practical solutions that balance compliance with commercial realities.
