Job summary

RecruitShop is seeking a General Manager to launch and lead a new interstate branch for a growing HVAC and electrical business based in Adelaide. You will build the local customer base, recruit subcontractors and run day-to-day operations from home, with support from the Managing Director.

You will manage budgets, pricing, and branch revenue, while traveling to sites as needed and establishing a scalable model for future expansion across states.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on refrigeration and air-conditioning knowledge.
• HVAC project, operations, service or branch management experience.
• Experience managing subcontractors, pricing jobs and margins.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Residential and commercial HVAC exposure.

Responsibilities

• Create the Adelaide launch plan, budget and sales pipeline.
• Win new business and grow maintenance work.
• Build relationships with builders, developers, commercial clients and property managers.
• Recruit and manage licensed subcontractors to a high standard.
• Oversee projects from quote through to handover and after‑sales support.
• Own branch revenue, margins, cash collection and compliance with weekly reporting.
