Job summary

Jobgether SRL, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Technical Support Engineer based in Australia to own customer-impacting incidents end-to-end in a cloud-commerce platform. You will diagnose issues using Linux, networking, databases, and APIs, guiding customers with clear product guidance while collaborating with developers and account managers in a remote-first environment that embraces AI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in technical or support engineering.
• Strong Linux system administration experience, especially CentOS or RHEL.
• Practical networking knowledge: TCP/IP, addressing, routing, troubleshooting.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and SQL.
• Knowledge of APIs and integrations (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, XML-RPC) and auth standards (OAuth, SAML).
• Experience with web hosting or similar infrastructure environments.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and incident-management skills; able to work remotely.
• Experience with Java, Python, or C++ is a plus; Kubernetes is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Own technical support tickets end-to-end from initial investigation to resolution.
• Provide clear guidance on product functionality, configuration, and best practices.
• Diagnose issues using Linux, logs, networking, databases, APIs, and cloud tech.
• Communicate timely updates aligned with SLAs and quality standards.
• Collaborate with developers, product teams, and account managers.
• Maintain accurate ticket documentation and knowledge base articles.
• Stay current with platform and related technologies through training and self-learning.
• Contribute to operational projects to improve support effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
• Explore AI tools to automate repetitive work and enhance documentation.
