Job summary

St Ives House Nursing Home, part of Thompson Health Care, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team on a part-time or full-time basis. AM shifts from 0645 to 1445, Monday to Friday, based at 97 Killeaton Street, St Ives NSW 2075.

Qualifications

• Endorsed by APHRA is essential.
• Min 2–3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in Australia.
• Aged Care experience is beneficial.

• Ability to work in a collaborative care team.

• Ensure resident care and treatments are documented to meet regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with residents, medical practitioners, allied health professionals and relatives.

About the Role:

St Ives House Nursing Home is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the team on a part-time or full-time basis! We currently have AM shifts from 0645 - 1445 from Monday to Friday.

Your employment will be based at St Ives House located at 97 Killeaton Street, St Ives NSW 2075.

Thompson Health Care St Ives House is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to provide high level clinical care to meet resident’s individual care needs that will enhance their quality of life. This includes:

Ensure that our resident care and treatments are documented to meet regulatory requirements

Communicate effectively with residents, medical practitioners, allied health professionals and relatives

Provide leadership and supervision of Personal Care Workers (PCW)

Flexible and passionate about aged care.

Skills and Experience:

Endorsed by APHRA (essential).

Aged Care experience beneficial

Previous experience as a RN in Australia

Minimum 2-3 years experience as a Registered Nurse (requirement)

A good understanding of contemporary aged care, clinical practice and clinical leadership in a residential setting.

Ability to problem solve, negotiate, mediate and resolve conflict.

Great communication skills and confidence to lead and actively contribute to the team.

Strive for excellence in customer service and promote an environment of harmony and trust.

Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills.

Excellent written documentation and assessment skills.

A good knowledge of the aged care accreditation standards.
