Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited in Randwick is seeking a Casual Registered Nurse to provide direct clinical care to residents with a person-centred approach. You will lead the personal care team, coaching staff and ensuring safe practice in line with policies and procedures.

Successful applicants will hold current AHPRA registration, a Bachelor of Nursing, and a strong understanding of aged care standards; police nd NDIS clearances may be required.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of Aged Care Legislation and Quality Standards
• Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes
• Strong clinical knowledge of aging and health issues
• Willingness to obtain Police Check and NDIS clearance

Reporting directly to the Care Manager at Brigidine house, you will be providing a high standard of nursing clinical care with an individual, person centred approach to all residents within our residential aged care home.

About the Role

• Providing direct clinical nursing care to residents in line with best practice nursing procedures
• Acting as Team leader, providing coaching, supervision, and guidance to the personal care team
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or similar
• Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards
• Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes
• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age – related health issues
• Strong coaching/training skills
• Effective conflict resolution skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
