Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited in Darlinghurst is seeking a casual registered nurse to provide direct clinical care to residents in our aged care home. Reporting to the Care Manager, you will lead a team and ensure safe, person-centred care.

You'll bring current AHPRA registration, a Bachelor of Nursing, and solid knowledge of aged care standards. We value compassionate, communicative nurses who coach others and uphold quality and compliance in every shift.

Qualifications

• Must hold AHPRA registration and a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of Aged Care Legislation and Quality Standards.
• Knowledge of AN-ACC assessment processes.
• Solid clinical knowledge of aging and related health issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical nursing care to residents per best practice.
• Act as Team leader, coaching and guiding the personal care team.
• Work safely and follow all policies and procedures to protect residents and staff.

Reporting directly to the Care Manager at Vincentian aged care, you will be providing a high standard of nursing clinical care with an individual, person centred approach to all residents within our residential aged care home.

About The Role

• Providing direct clinical nursing care to residents in line with best practice nursing procedures


• Acting as Team leader, providing coaching, supervision, and guidance to the personal care team


• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly


• Current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or similar


• Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards


• Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes


• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age - related health issues


• Strong coaching/training skills


• Effective conflict resolution skills with a high level of emotional intelligence


• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude


• Competent IT skills


• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
