Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited in Randwick is seeking a casual registered nurse to provide direct clinical nursing care with a person-centred approach to residents in our aged care home.

You will lead the personal care team, coaching staff and ensuring safe practice while adhering to aged care standards and policies. AHPRA registration is required and there is emphasis on compassionate, high-quality elder care.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or similar.
• Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Strong coaching/training skills.
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance.

Reporting directly to the Care Manager at Brigidine house, you will be providing a high standard of nursing clinical care with an individual, person centred approach to all residents within our residential aged care home.

About The Role

• Providing direct clinical nursing care to residents in line with best practice nursing procedures
• Acting as Team leader, providing coaching, supervision, and guidance to the personal care team
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or similar
• Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards
• Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processesStrong clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age – related health issues
• Strong coaching/training skills
• Effective conflict resolution skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Competent IT skills
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
