Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited is seeking a nurse for night-shift care at St James Villa. You will provide direct clinical nursing care to residents, following best practice and maintaining a person-centred approach, while coaching the personal care team under the care manager.

Reporting to the Care Manager, you’ll ensure safe, compliant care in a supportive, not-for-profit environment with opportunities for professional development and a values-based culture.

Qualifications

• A kind heart and genuine passion for high quality care.
• Current AHPRA registration following Bachelor of Nursing.
• Strong knowledge of aged care legislation and standards.
• Experience with AN-ACC assessment processes.
• Excellent communication and emotional intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical nursing care to residents.
• Act as team leader, coaching and supervising personal care team.
• Follow policies and procedures to ensure safety and quality care.

  • Saturday: 9:30 PM to 7:15 AM
  • Sunday: 9:30 PM to 7:15 AM
  • Monday: 9:30 PM to 7:15 AM
• From $48.50 - $60.30 per hour + superannuation + Casual loading

Reporting directly to the Care Manager at St James Villa, you will be providing a high standard of nursing clinical care with an individual, person centred approach to all residents within our residential aged care home.

About the Role

• Providing direct clinical nursing care to residents in line with best practice nursing procedures
• Acting as Team leader, providing coaching, supervision, and guidance to the personal care team
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or similar
• Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards
• Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes
• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age – related health issues
• Strong coaching/training skills
• Effective conflict resolution skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
