Calvary Home Care – Adelaide is seeking Registered Nurses to join our growing clinical team. You will provide high-acuity care to diverse clients in short-term and long-term programs, working independently and with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA Nursing registration
• Minimum 1 year acute experience
• NDIS clearance or willingness to obtain
• Police clearance within 6 months or willingness to obtain
• Own car with KM allowance provided
• Full driver’s licence with comprehensively insured vehicle
• CPR and manual handling competency
• Understanding of community nursing/home care sector preferred
• Desire to join a mission-based organisation delivering care from the heart

Responsibilities

• Administration of IV, IM, SC and PO medications
• IV Cannulation, PICC line and Infusaport care
• Wound care including compression and NPWT
• Drain care
• Catheter care and education
• Accurate and timely documentation in client records
• Effective communication within the clinical team to ensure appropriate care
• Complete initial assessments and develop care plans
• Monitor and update care plans for best outcomes
• Deliver education to clients and families
• Recognise clinical deterioration and escalate appropriately

About the role

As a member of the Calvary Home Care team and as an experienced RN, you will provide care to high acuity clients from various short term/long terms programs. You will provide complex care to all clients by working both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities

• Administration of IV, IM, SC and PO medications
• IV Cannulation, PICC line and Infusaport care
• Simple and Complex wound care including compression and NPWT
• Drain care
• Male, Female and Supra Pubic Catheter Care and Education
• Accurate/Timely documentation in all client records.
• Appropriate communication within the clinical team to ensure appropriate care is provided.
• Complete initial assessments/develop care plans to ensure best outcome for our clients.
• Monitor and update care plans to ensure appropriate care is provided
• Deliver education to client and families to enable best possible outcome.
• Recognise and respond to clinical deterioration, with appropriate escalation.

What you bring

• Current AHPRA Nursing
• Minimum 1 year acute experience
• NDIS Clearance (or willingness to obtain one)
• Police Clearance within 6 months (or willingness to obtain one)
• Use of own car – KM allowance provided
• Full drivers licence, reliable and comprehensively insured car
• CPR and Manual handling competency
• Candidates with an understanding of the community nursing sector - Home Care Packages, Department of Veteran Affairs and Commonwealth Home Support Program will be considered favourably
