Job summary

Calvary Home Care in Adelaide is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-acuity care across short and long-term programs. You will work independently and as part of a team, delivering complex care and contributing to education and care planning.

AM/PM shifts with both part-time and full-time opportunities, plus salary sacrifice and ongoing education, are available. Ideal candidates hold current AHPRA registration, at least 1 year of acute experience, NDIS/Police clearances, a valid driver's

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA Nursing registration is required.
• Minimum 1 year acute nursing experience.
• NDIS clearance or willingness to obtain.
• Police clearance within 6 months or willingness to obtain.
• Use of own car with KM allowance provided.
• Full driver’s licence with a reliably insured car.
• CPR and manual handling competency.
• Understanding of community nursing (Home Care Packages, DVA, Commonwealth Home Support) is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Administration of IV, IM, SC and PO medications.
• IV cannulation, PICC line and Infusaport care.
• Wound care (simple and complex) including compression and NPWT.
• Drain care and catheter care/education.
• Documentation in client records and communication within the clinical team.
• Develop and update initial care plans; monitor and adjust plans for outcomes.
• Deliver education to clients and families to enable best outcomes.
• Recognise clinical deterioration and escalate appropriately.

About The Role

As a member of the Calvary Home Care team and as an experienced RN, you will provide care to high acuity clients from various short term/long terms programs. You will provide complex care to all clients by working both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities

• Administration of IV, IM, SC and PO medications
• IV Cannulation, PICC line and Infusaport care
• Simple and Complex wound care including compression and NPWT
• Drain care
• Male, Female and Supra Pubic Catheter Care and Education
• Accurate/Timely documentation in all client records.
• Appropriate communication within the clinical team to ensure appropriate care is provided.
• Complete initial assessments/develop care plans to ensure best outcome for our clients.
• Monitor and update care plans to ensure appropriate care is provided
• Deliver education to client and families to enable best possible outcome.
• Recognise and respond to clinical deterioration, with appropriate escalation.

What You Bring

• Current AHPRA Nursing
• Minimum 1 year acute experience
• NDIS Clearance (or willingness to obtain one)
• Police Clearance within 6 months (or willingness to obtain one)
• Use of own car - KM allowance provided
• Full drivers licence, reliable and comprehensively insured car
• CPR and Manual handling competency
• Candidates with an understanding of the community nursing sector - Home Care Packages, Department of Veteran Affairs and Commonwealth Home Support Program will be considered favourably
