Job summary

iDetect Group is seeking a Business Development Manager to grow its security and technology solutions across Queensland. You will hunt new business, build long-term relationships, and collaborate with our technical and operations teams to design outcomes-driven security solutions.

This consultative role is on-site across QLD, requiring discovery meetings, quotes, and tender input. You will manage multiple opportunities, negotiate, and close deals while growing existing accounts through

Qualifications

• Proven business development experience in electronic security, monitoring, integrated security, telecommunications, ICT or a similar B2B field.
• Ability to understand technical solutions and explain them in commercial terms.
• Confidence running discovery, handling objections, negotiating and closing.
• Good commercial sense: understand margins, pipeline and customer economics.
• Strong organisation across multiple opportunities at once.
• Current driver’s licence / security licence, if required.

Responsibilities

• Building and managing a strong pipeline of new business across QLD.
• Prospecting through research, referrals, networking and structured outbound activity.
• Running discovery meetings and site visits to understand customers' operational and security needs.
• Presenting solutions and commercial proposals that focus on outcomes, not just features.
• Preparing quotes, proposals and tenders on time, with input from our technical team on scope, pricing and delivery.
• Growing existing accounts through cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
• Keeping across competitor activity, market trends and emerging technology.
• Keeping the CRM accurate and up to date.
