Job summary

Boomaroo Nurseries, a leading wholesale vegetable seedling producer, is seeking a Regional Sales and Business Development Manager to lead Victoria, SA and Tasmania. You’ll nurture key grower relationships, identify new opportunities and guide the regional sales team to deliver sustainable growth across the Southern States.

Reporting to the COO, you’ll translate market insights into practical solutions, manage targets and margins, and work closely with nursery, production and technical teams.

Qualifications

• Strong vegetable industry knowledge, with production systems and large-scale grower experience.
• Proven key account management, retaining customers and nurturing relationships.
• Successful business development background with wins in new customers and profitable sales.
• Sales leadership experience coaching regional teams and driving performance.
• Structured sales approach with territory planning, pipeline development and CRM accountability.

Responsibilities

• Retain and nurture key accounts – maintain trusted relationships with established growers and secure ongoing business.
• Grow existing customer partnerships – increase seedling volumes, introduce new crops and strengthen long-term supply relationships.
• Win new business – identify opportunities with commercial vegetable growers, competitor accounts and emerging markets.
• Lead the sales team – coach and develop the regional team with a focus on customer relationships and performance.
• Shape the territory strategy – use market intelligence and grower insights to guide future growth.
• Deliver profitable results – manage targets, margins, pricing, negotiations, forecasts and pipeline conversion.
• Connect innovation with opportunity – collaborate with nursery, production and technical teams to address customer needs.
