Job summary

Westpac Bank is seeking a Regional Bank Manager to lead four NSW branches. You will travel between Salamander Bay, Maitland, Raymond Terrace and Green Hills, providing hands-on leadership and coaching to teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

The role focuses on risk and compliance, operations and business outcomes across the network, with a strong emphasis on growth and staff development.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership experience across retail banking or similar environments.
• Ability to coach and unite teams across multiple locations.
• Experience taking accountability for risk, compliance and customer experience.
• Track record of delivering business outcomes and identifying growth opportunities.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead four branches (Salamander Bay, Maitland, Raymond Terrace, Green Hills) and travel between them.

What’s the role?

Here’s an opportunity to make your mark across four local communities. As our newly created Regional Bank Manager, you’ll lead our Salamander Bay, Maitland, Raymond Terrace and Green Hills branches.

You’ll be at the heart of our branch network, bringing people together to create brilliant experiences for our customers. You’ll provide hands on leadership, coach and support your teams, and help them thrive while taking accountability for customer, risk, operational and business outcomes across the four branches.

This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday. You’ll spend time across each of your branches, so regular travel between locations will be part of your working week. A branded fleet car will be provided to the successful applicant.

What do I need?

• Strong leadership experience, ideally gained within Retail Banking, although this isn’t essential
• The ability to coach, support and bring together teams working across multiple locations
• Experience taking accountability for risk and compliance, team performance and customer experience
• Experience delivering business outcomes and identifying opportunities for sustainable growth
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, including the ability to navigate challenging situations
