Job summary

Maroondah City Council is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated person to join the Revenue team within the Property, Revenue and Valuation Services area in Melbourne. You will be assisting with accounts receivable, direct debits and payments, while delivering high-level customer service across channels.

The role requires adaptability to a busy workload, strong computer literacy, and preference for familiarity with rating and accounts receivable software such as Pathway.

Qualifications

• High-level customer service experience for internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in Rates, Debt Collection and/or Accounts Receivable or transferable skills.
• Strong numerical and computer literacy; ability to learn new systems quickly; familiarity with AR software such as Pathway.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level customer service to enquiries via telephone, email and face-to-face.
• Assist with administration of direct debits, refunds, copies of rates notices, returned mail, and waste charge requests.
• Assist with processing payment plan application forms and monitor plans with reporting.
• Help process and distribute invoices, statements and credits/refunds to Debtors using the accounts receivable system.
• Support the broader Property, Revenue and Valuation Services Team as directed by the Revenue Team Leader.
