Job summary

City of Sydney is seeking a Revenue Officer to join the Revenue and Payments team. The role covers end-to-end receivable processes, invoicing, allocation, refunds and debt handling, ensuring accurate rates transactions and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret and apply legal obligations with critical thinking.
• Exceptional systems and analytical skills, with proven ability to reconcile data across multiple sources, identify variances and trends, and drive data integrity.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision and complete high volumes of work within allocated timeframes.
• Sound working knowledge of financial software applications including Excel.
• Experience in the application of local government rating legislation would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end receivable processes including invoicing, receipt investigation and allocation, refunds and debt monitoring.
• Contribute to administration of council rates, ensuring accurate transactions and account maintenance.
• Provide quality customer service across the rates lifecycle and collaborate with customers and departments.
