Job summary

Nu Nu Restaurant on the Esplanade in Palm Cove is seeking qualified Chefs to join our dynamic kitchen brigade. You will work in a busy, tropical kitchen environment, bringing passion for local produce and high standards of service.

The role includes training apprentices, supporting the Head Chef, managing supplier relationships, stock and cost controls, and strict adherence to our food safety program. Flexibility with hours and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of work experience as a qualified chef.
• Relevant Diploma qualifications required.
• Experience in a busy, fast-paced kitchen.
• Ability to train apprentices and mentor junior staff.
• Adherence to food safety program guidelines.
• Flexibility with work hours.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Nu Nu has been recognised as the Good Food Guide's Regional Restaurant of the Year. You will be working in the regions most dynamic and exciting kitchen utilisinglocal market produce and unique tropical ingredients.

In addition to cooking, responsibilities will include providing support to the Head Chef in the areas of:-

• Training and mentoring apprentice chefs,
• Assisting with managing supplier relationships,
• Assisting with stock and cost control,
• Adhering to the guidelines of the restaurant's food safety program

The successful candidate will possess:-
