Currumbin Palm Beach RSL & Services Memorial Club Limited on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Chef to join our busy team on a casual basis.

The role requires good communication, a team mindset, and the ability to work in a large high-volume kitchen. Responsibilities include coordinating with Senior Chefs, minimising wastage, portion-controlled production, and maintaining food quality and hygiene.

Currumbin Palm Beach RSL & Services Memorial Club Limited is a very popular venue with a fantastic food offering that everyone can enjoy. Set on the foreshore of Currumbin Creek, we pride ourselves on the experience and service provided to our customers, and the culture enjoyed by our team.

We are looking for an experienced Chef to join our team, on a casual basis. The successful candidate must be someone who has good communication skills, a great team mindset and is comfortable working in a large high volume kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

Liaise with Senior Chefs regarding preparation work-flow requirements

Carry out preparation tasks with an emphasis on minimal wastage

Production of menu items in accordance with portion control standards

To work cohesively with other departments within the Club to ensure meals are produced in a timely manner

Monitor and ensure food quality and hygiene standards are maintained, reporting any concerns to the Executive Chef

Related qualifications (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery)

Proven experience as a Chef for a minimum of at least two years

Available to work approximately 25-30 hours per week, across a variety of shifts including days, nights and weekends

Excellent organisational and communication skills

Be reliable and punctual
