Job summary

The Country Care Group is seeking a proactive Purchasing Officer to join our team in Epping, Victoria. This role offers exposure to supplier management, stock planning, logistics and international purchasing, with a focus on keeping supply chains efficient in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with suppliers, freight providers and internal stakeholders to optimize purchasing activities, monitor stock levels, and ensure accurate pricing records across our product range.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory management, or a similar operational role.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and supplier relationship skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in purchasing and pricing records.
• Analytical ability to review sales and stock data.
• Proficient in Excel and business systems for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process purchase orders and monitor orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Build supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and terms.
• Analyse sales history and monitor stock levels for optimisation.
• Coordinate stock transfers between stores and warehouses.
• Assist with international purchasing and freight coordination.
• Maintain product and pricing records in business systems.
• Investigate discrepancies and communicate supply risks to teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes.
