Job summary

CivilSafe is seeking a Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator to own the order and supply process end to end from sale to invoiced closure. Based in Bankstown, this role handles inventory, freight, PO creation and supplier performance across a growing Australian safety supplier.

The full-time position reports to the Director and requires a forklift licence, Cin7 or similar ERP experience, and a proactive, meticulous approach to freight, costs and stock control.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence and hands-on experience with inventory/ERP systems required.
• Experience raising POs, chasing suppliers and cost control.
• Strong attention to detail and organised approach to end-to-end process.

Responsibilities

• Convert won sales to orders and update delivery dates on the fulfilment board.
• Raise purchase orders, manage supplier lead times and invoices.
• Book and cost freight, confirm deliveries and manage local runs.
• Pick, pack, dispatch and receive stock; operate forklift; cycle counts.
• Invoice on dispatch and close orders accurately.
• Set up new trade accounts and prepare credit applications.
• Process web orders the same day and report stock status weekly.

We supply civil contractors, builders, facility managers, councils and workplaces Australia-wide. We're looking for a Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator to own our order and supply process end to end. This is a newly created role, reporting directly to the Director. You'll take the entire operation from a confirmed sale through to a delivered, invoiced and closed order, and you'll own it.

What you'll do

• Convert won sales into orders in our inventory and order management software, acknowledge with delivery dates and keep the fulfilment board current

• Raise purchase orders, hold suppliers to their lead times, match supplier invoices and make sure every order carries an accurate cost

• Book and cost freight, confirm deliveries and manage local runs

• Pick, pack, dispatch and receive stock; operate the forklift; run cycle counts and keep the warehouse in order

• Invoice on the day of dispatch and close orders out cleanly

• Set up new trade accounts and prepare credit applications

• Process web orders same day

• Report weekly on stock, open purchase orders and overdue accounts

What you'll bring

• Current forklift licence (essential)

• Hands-on experience with Cin7 or a comparable inventory/ERP system (essential)

• Freight booking and consignment costing experience

• Purchasing or procurement experience: raising POs, chasing suppliers, holding them to their dates

• Strong attention to detail; you notice a missing cost or an open PO before anyone asks

• Organised and self-directed: this role runs the process, not just the tasks

• White Card desirable

• Warehouse and order fulfilment background in trade supply, construction or industrial distribution well regarded
