Job summary

Phoenix EMS is an Australian electrical engineering and manufacturing business with operations in Newcastle and Perth. We are seeking a logistics/procurement professional to manage international freight, coordinate dispatches, and oversee BOM-informed purchasing for projects.

You will build supplier relationships, optimize costs, track lead times and drive continuous improvements across the supply chain, while ensuring WHS&E compliance in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in logistics, procurement, purchasing or supply chain.
• Strong purchasing and warehouse experience.
• Demonstrated supplier, vendor and freight management experience.
• Electrical procurement knowledge and BOMs understanding.
• Strong commercial, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and relationship-building capability.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Proactive, hands-on approach and ability to perform under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end international sea and air freight, from booking through to delivery
• Assist warehouse and dispatch team with coordination of daily domestic and complex project dispatches
• Manage purchasing of standard and OEM products, ensuring on-time delivery within budget
• Monitor inventory, replenishment and Min/Max stock levels to maintain availability
• Build strong relationships with suppliers, freight providers and transport carriers
• Negotiate pricing and review freight options for cost reduction and improved service
• Track lead times and proactively manage supply or delivery risks
• Work with sales, projects, warehouse and procurement to meet customer/project needs
• Resolve logistics, procurement and inventory issues quickly and effectively
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across the supply chain

Key responsibilities

Manage end-to-end international sea and air freight, from booking through to delivery

Assist warehouse and dispatch team with coordination of daily domestic and complex project dispatches

Manage purchasing of standard and OEM products, ensuring the right products arrive on time and within budget

Monitor inventory, replenishment and Min/Max stock levels to maintain product availability

Build strong, productive relationships with suppliers, freight providers and transport carriers

Negotiate pricing, review freight options and identify opportunities for cost reduction and improved service

Track lead times and proactively manage supply or delivery risks

Work closely with sales, projects, warehouse and procurement to deliver customer and project requirements

Resolve logistics, procurement and inventory issues quickly and effectively

Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across the supply chain

About you
