Pantoro Gold is seeking an experienced Projects Manager to join our site based team and play a key role in supporting the delivery of projects across our growing Western Australian gold operations. The Projects Manager will provide leadership and project management across a range of mining, processing, infrastructure and civil projects. This role provides the opportunity to work closely with the General Manager, Chief Operating Officer, site leadership teams, technical specialists, contractors and external stakeholders. The role will have responsibility for coordinating and managing a diverse portfolio of projects, from feasibility and planning through to procurement, construction, commissioning and operational handover.
Managing projects from concept, feasibility and design through to execution and completion.
Supporting whole of mine studies, project development, mine planning, infrastructure and services requirements.
Developing project scopes, budgets, schedules, cost estimates and business cases.
Managing tendering processes, including preparation of tender packages, contract documentation, tender evaluations and contractor negotiations.
Managing contractors and consultants and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule and within budget.
Coordinating civil construction, mining infrastructure, services and site facilities projects.
Supporting the development and implementation of infrastructure required for underground and open pit mining operations.
Managing projects involving water supply, dewatering, power, communications, roads, airstrips and other site infrastructure.
Supporting tailings storage facility projects, including design, approvals, construction and associated infrastructure.
Developing and maintaining project reporting, cost control, schedules and project performance measures.
Significant experience in mining project management, mine management or mining supervision.
Strong practical understanding of open pit and underground mining operations.
Experience managing mining contractors, construction contractors and specialist service providers.
Demonstrated experience delivering civil, infrastructure, processing plant and mining projects.
Experience with mine, surface landform and layout design, construction and supporting infrastructure.
Strong understanding of project feasibility, mine studies, project scheduling, budgeting and cost control.
Experience preparing and managing tenders, contracts, scopes of work and contractor agreements.
Experience working through project approvals and regulatory requirements.
Strong reporting and commercial capability, including project cost tracking, forecasting, reconciliation and monthly reporting.
A formal mining or project management qualification together with experience in a statutory mining role or relevant statutory qualifications will be highly regarded.
