Job summary

Queensland Government's Department of Transport and Main Roads in Rockhampton is seeking a Project Support Officer to bolster the Program Support team and help deliver the QTRIP. You will provide high-level business, project and financial support, assist with scheduling, reporting and governance, support contract administration, and manage accounts payable/receivable using SAP and MS Office.

You’ll help ensure governance, safety compliance and timely delivery of major road and transport projects

This role supports the delivery of the Queensland Transport and Roads Investment Program (QTRIP), helping ensure major road and transport projects are delivered efficiently, accurately and in accordance with governance requirements.About the teamProgram Delivery and Operations Central Queensland Region delivers and maintains transport infrastructure across a diverse region stretching from the Capricorn Coast to the central-west outback. Working alongside Program Managers, Project Managers and technical specialists, you'll be part of a team delivering infrastructure that supports communities, industry and economic growth throughout Central Queensland.What you'll doAs a Project Support Officer, you'll provide high-level business, project and financial support across a range of infrastructure programs and projects.Your responsibilities will include:Providing administrative and business support to assist the delivery of QTRIP projects.Assisting with project scheduling and program coordination activities.Collecting, analysing and presenting information for project, financial and business reporting.Supporting contract administration processes, including progress payments and budget variations.Assisting Project Managers with procurement governance requirements.Contributing to accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial reconciliation activities.Using systems such as SAP, Microsoft Office and other business applications to support project delivery.Ensuring activities comply with organisational policies, governance requirements and workplace health and safety obligations.About youYou are organised, adaptable and committed to delivering quality outcomes. You build positive working relationships, communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders and can manage competing priorities effectively.
