Job summary

Lime Recruitment is partnering with a large Queensland Government client to recruit a Project Manager who will lead end-to-end delivery of a major multi-year digital transformation. You will operate within PRINCE2 and Agile governance, modernising core legacy systems and delivering improved service outcomes across Queensland.

Qualifications

• PRINCE2 Practitioner Certification is mandatory.
• Experience delivering outcomes for complex technology transformation programs.
• Proven track record leading delivery teams through all project lifecycle phases in complex environments.
• Experience or qualifications in Agile and modern ways of working.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Jira and Confluence.
• Project management experience across public and private sectors.
• Strong stakeholder management, leadership, negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and lead project activities from Start Up through Completion within scope, schedule, quality and budget baselines.
• Produce governance-compliant documentation within an Agile/PRINCE2 framework.
• Ensure governance and assurance activities across program streams.
• Develop communication, change management and benefit realisation plans.
• Liaise with stakeholders, including executives and product owners, for delivery alignment.
• Lead project working groups, providing direction and support for delivery teams.
• Monitor budgets, resources and financial performance.
• Maintain detailed schedules using MS Project or Jira/Confluence.

Lime Recruitment is currently working with a large Queensland Government client to recruit an experienced Project Manager. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of a major multi-year digital transformation project within a PRINCE2 and Agile environment, modernising core legacy systems and supporting improved service delivery outcomes across Queensland.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and lead project activities and resources from Start Up through to Completion to deliver outcomes within agreed scope, schedule, quality, and budget baselines.
• Produce high-quality project documentation in accordance with departmental governance policies within an Agile and PRINCE2 framework.
• Ensure appropriate project governance and assurance activities are established and maintained, coordinating work requirements across program domain streams.
• Develop and implement communication plans, organisational change management plans, and benefit realisation plans where required.
• Liaise closely with key project stakeholders, including Project Executives, Project Board Members, Senior Users, Senior Suppliers, Product Owners, and executive management.
• Lead and manage project working groups, providing clear direction, decision-making, and ongoing support for delivery teams.
• Monitor and manage project budgets, resource allocations, and financial performance.
• Develop, maintain, and track detailed project schedules using tools such as Microsoft Project or Jira/Confluence.

About You

• PRINCE2 Practitioner Certification is mandatory.
• Demonstrated experience delivering outcomes for complex technology transformation programs, including large-scale modernisation initiatives migrating from legacy systems to contemporary platforms.
• Proven track record leading delivery teams throughout all phases of the project lifecycle in highly complex, regulated, or government environments.
• Experience or qualifications in Agile and new ways of working (e.g., Scrum Master Certification).
• Proficiency with project management and delivery tools such as Microsoft Project, Atlassian Jira, and Confluence.
• Current and varied project management experience across the public and private sectors.
• Strong stakeholder management, leadership, negotiation, and communication skills across executive, technical, and operational teams.
