Job summary

Lime Recruitment is partnering with a large Queensland Government client to appoint a Project Director - TRAILS Modernisation in Brisbane. You will lead executive direction for a multi-year digital transformation, modernising registration and licensing systems to fit-for-purpose platforms.

You will coordinate six domain teams in a shared roadmap, translate complex requirements into practical plans, and ensure governance, risk, and performance oversight at executive levels.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading large-scale digital transformation programs.
• Experience modernising enterprise systems in government or complex environments.
• Proven governance, assurance, risk management, and executive reporting for multi-year programs.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive influencing capabilities.
• Hybrid delivery with PRINCE2/PRINCE2-equivalent governance and Agile/product delivery practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for modernising legacy systems.
• Lead six multidisciplinary domain teams across business, technology, data, policy and service delivery.
• Translate requirements into practical delivery plans and sustainable outcomes.
• Establish governance, planning, assurance, risk management, and performance disciplines.
• Build relationships with executives, governance bodies, business owners, and partners.
• Resolve issues and dependencies to protect service continuity and regulatory obligations.
• Drive operational readiness, change management, and knowledge transfer.
