Job summary

Peoplebank is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead a major modernisation initiative in the transport sector from Brisbane CBD. The role focuses on replacing legacy systems, aligning stakeholders, and delivering end-to-end program outcomes over a multi-year horizon.

You will oversee platform transition, data migration, and governance while managing budgets, procurement, and risk. Queensland Government experience is highly valued and the contract is long-term with extensions.

About the role

Our government-sector client is seekingto engage anexperienced Project Director to lead a major modernisationinitiativeaimed at improving vehicle registration and licensing services and replacing legacy technology within the transport sector.

In this role, you will

• Provide strategic leadership for a large-scale transformation program, aligning stakeholders, teams, priorities, and delivery outcomes to a clear roadmap.


• Drive end-to-end program delivery, overseeing planning, governance, budgets, procurement, risks, vendor management, and executive reporting.


• Lead technology and business transformation, including platform transition, data migration, integration, compliance, change management, operational readiness, and capability uplift.

Required skills

• Experience applying PRINCE2


• Experience delivering within Queensland Government enterprise architecture, assurance, and digital investment governance requirements


• Experience managing legacy coexistence, data migration, operational readiness, and knowledge transfer
