Job summary

Redwolf + Rosch is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of medium-to-large business and digital initiatives for a Queensland public sector client.

The role is Brisbane-based with hybrid work (3 days in office / 2 days WFH), starting immediately, on a mid-2027 contract through 30 June 2027, with a daily rate of AU$1,000–AU$1,150 including super.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering complex, cross-functional public sector projects.
• Proven ability to govern projects and manage delivery governance artifacts.
• Strong executive communication and reporting for steering committees.
• Experience with PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile or hybrid methodologies.
• Willing to use your own laptop/device for the assignment.

• Plan, execute, and govern medium to large-scale business and technology initiatives end-to-end.
• Develop governance frameworks, business cases, RAID logs, and status reports.
• Manage stakeholders across executive leadership and external vendors.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a high-profile Queensland public sector agency to lead the end-to-end delivery of key business and digital transformation initiatives.

Working within a dedicated Project Delivery team, you will drive medium-to-large scale projects designed to enhance organisational performance, customer outcomes, and regulatory capability. This role offers long-term contract stability through to mid-2027 with a blend of strategic governance and hands‑on delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Delivery: Plan, execute, and govern medium to large-scale business and technology initiatives from inception through to transition.
• Governance & Reporting: Establish robust frameworks; draft executive-level documentation including Business Cases, Project Plans, RAID logs, Status Reports, and Steering Committee papers.
• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships across executive leadership, business streams, subject matter experts, and external vendors.
• Change & Business Readiness: Partner with business owners to manage change impact, user adoption, training, handover, and initial benefits realisation.
• Vendor & Resource Management: Oversee external vendor performance, contract obligations, and internal project resource scheduling.

Key Requirements

• Proven Track Record: Extensive experience managing complex, cross-functional business and digital transformation projects.
• Public Sector Experience: Prior experience delivering projects within the Queensland Government or broader public sector environment is highly desirable.
• Methodology Expertise: Strong foundation in project frameworks (PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile, or Hybrid). Certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) are advantageous.
• Executive Communication: Excellent written, facilitation, negotiation, and reporting skills tailored for executive and steering committee levels.
• Equipment: Must be willing and able to utilise your own laptop/device for the duration of the assignment
