Job summary

Walz Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead site-based projects across the Bowen Basin. You will work closely with clients, site teams, subcontractors and internal support functions, spending significant time on site to ensure successful delivery.

You will coordinates programs, budgets, forecasts, and progress reporting while keeping safety, quality and productivity top priorities. Flexibility to travel and lead varied rosters will be essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer within construction, resources, mining or heavy industrial sectors.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage site-based teams.
• Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules and commercial outcomes.
• Strong client and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving capabilities.
• A practical, delivery-focused approach and willingness to spend significant time on site.

Job description

As an experienced Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of site-based projects, working closely with clients, site teams, subcontractors and internal support functions. This is a hands‑on project leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being close to the work, building strong relationships with clients and site teams, and taking ownership of project outcomes. The role will require regular travel to project sites throughout the Bowen Basin, with the successful candidate expected to spend a significant portion of their time on site.

Key responsibilities

About you
