Job summary

Walz Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead site-based projects across the Bowen Basin. You will work closely with clients, site teams, subcontractors and internal support functions, spending significant time on site to ensure successful delivery.

You will coordinates programs, budgets, forecasts, and progress reporting while keeping safety, quality and productivity top priorities. Flexibility to travel and lead varied rosters will be essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer within construction, resources, mining or heavy industrial sectors.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage site-based teams.
• Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules and commercial outcomes.
• Strong client and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving capabilities.
• A practical, delivery-focused approach and willingness to spend significant time on site.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from planning and mobilisation through execution, completion and close-out.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, productivity and commercial performance.
• Coordinate project personnel, subcontractors, suppliers and internal resources.
• Develop and manage project programs, budgets, forecasts and progress reporting.
• Monitor project performance against schedule and budget and address emerging issues.
• Manage variations and changes to project scope, schedule and cost.
• Identify and manage project risks and opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
• Ensure clear communication between site teams, clients and Walz management.
• Support the development and performance of project and site teams.
