Pursuited, on behalf of a leading tier 2 civil construction and remediation client, seeks a Project Manager for a flexible base of operations in Far North Queensland.

The role focuses on delivering projects safely, on time and within budget, coordinating tender activity, and ensuring high-quality bids while adapting to a mobile and dynamic project landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field.
• 5+ years experience in engineering or construction.
• Current Australian drivers license.
• OH&S Induction Card (preferred).
• First Aid Level 2 (preferred).
• Confined Space (preferred).
• Working at Heights (preferred).
• MSIC Card.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery by driving tenders to ensure accurate cost estimates and high-quality bids.
• Manage allocated projects to achieve zero harm, quality, on-time delivery, and profitability.
• Maintain strong communication with all project stakeholders and ensure a safe working environment and compliance with the Management System.

Our Client

Our client is an industry-leading engineering rehabilitation business with a strong history and a track record of continued growth. They focus on re-engineering and extending the life of ageing infrastructure assets by developing and delivering optimised Whole of Life (WOL) solutions.

The business works across APAC and enhances a range of assets from wharves, bridges, buildings to general concrete, steel and timber structures. Their service is mobile, flexible and efficient, and built on quality builds and outcomes. They are looking for a Project Manager to lead project delivery by driving allocated tenders to ensure accuracy in cost estimates, high-quality bids are submitted, and the likelihood of success is maximized.

The position is open to those who have studied a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.

The Role

The Project Manager is accountable for managing allocated projects aiming to ensure zero harm, quality, on-time delivery, customer satisfaction and profitability.

The role requires good communication with all project stakeholders and action to ensure a safe

working environment is maintained, full compliance to the company's Management System is achieved, and project deliverables are met including time, budget, safety, quality and environmental objectives.

The Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Materials/Civil/Chemical/Mechanical) or Project Management
• 5+ years experience within the Engineering or Construction industries
• Current Australian Drivers License
• Construction Industry OH&S Induction Card
• Good decision-making is based on clear thinking and logic, not emotion or guesswork
• High attention to detail
• High energy and initiative
• Contributes a positive atmosphere and great team player
• First Aid Certificate Level 2 (preferable)
• Confined Space (preferable)
