Job summary

Bellcore is looking for a Project Engineer to join their QLD team in Brisbane. This role involves supporting design coordination and project delivery across mining and industrial projects. You will engage closely with senior leadership throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and experience in similar sectors. The position offers a salary between $115,000 and $150,000 plus super, and opportunities to work on international projects with a supportive team.

Qualifications

This global engineering and equipment provider delivers turnkey solutions across mineral processing, wastewater treatment and industrial filtration systems.

OPPORTUNITY

Due to continued growth, an opportunity exists for a Project Engineer to join the QLD team, supporting both design coordination and project delivery across mining and industrial projects.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a key role across the full project lifecycle, from pre-sales and design review through to site execution and commissioning support.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys balancing office-based engineering work with site-based project delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support design coordination across mechanical and electrical systems
• Review and interpret engineering drawings using AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
• Assist with project planning, scheduling and progress tracking using Microsoft Project
• Contribute to pre-sales activities including technical input and proposal evaluation
• Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, contractors and clients
• Ensure projects are delivered in line with Australian Standards and client expectations
• Support site activities including installation, commissioning, inspections and troubleshooting
• Maintain project documentation including drawings, schedules, reports and updates
• Monitor project performance, timelines and compliance across multiple sites

CANDIDATE

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering
• Previous experience within mining, heavy industrial, wastewater or similar sectors
• Background working with an engineering consultancy, EPC/EPCM contractor or asset owner highly regarded
• Proficient in AutoCAD with ability to review and modify drawings
• Experience using Microsoft Project for scheduling and tracking
• Strong understanding of Australian Standards (AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 61439 advantageous)
• Previous site experience across installation, commissioning or maintenance activities
• Strong communication skills with ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
• Practical, hands‑on approach with ability to operate across both office and site environments
