Job summary

SEE Group in Australia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead civil infrastructure projects across the South Gold Coast region. You will manage programming, safety coordination and subcontractor oversight on complex site works.

This full-time role requires civil engineering background, strong leadership and contract administration skills, with responsibility for financial forecasts and team development.

Qualifications

• Solid civil engineering experience with proven management and planning ability.
• Experience managing a project and maintaining focus on priorities.
• Strong skills in negotiating, evaluating and administering contracts.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Knowledge of engineering principles and project delivery experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Strong planning, organizing and problem-solving abilities; leadership aptitude.
• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) is required.
• Construction White Card is required.

Responsibilities

• Program and coordinate site works through construction methodologies.
• Ensure project compliance with legislation, regulations and standards.
• Coordinate employees, subcontractors, procurement, plant and equipment.
• Lead and support project team through scope changes.
• Coach, mentor and develop staff within the department.

About the Opportunity

SEE Civil have an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to our civil infrastructure development division working on projects across South Gold Coast region. We have a vast range of projects currently underway with projected growth in the coming few months. This role is a full-time opportunity where you will be responsible for managing a project's programming, safety coordination, subcontractor management and supervision of all technical aspects of the project.

Responsibilities will include

Responsible and accountable for the effective programming and construction methodologies of all site works.

Responsible for project compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and standards.

Responsible and accountable for the coordination of employees, subcontractors, procurement, plant and equipment required.

Lead and support the project team through project activities and any changes to the project scope.

Coaching, mentoring and training of relevant staff and identify and develop staff within the department.

Responsible for monthly assessments and forecasts of project's financial performance.

Ensure that plant, equipment, staff and subcontractors operate within safe working conditions.

Essential Skills and Attributes

Solid demonstrated civil engineering experience including proven management skills, practices and planning ability.

Demonstrated experience managing a project and maintaining focus on priorities.

Highly effective skills in negotiating, evaluating and administering contracts.

The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Knowledge of Engineering principles and experience in actual project delivery.

Computer literacy, particularly experience working with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.

Highly effective planning, organising and problem-solving skills together with the ability to lead, motivate and influence others.

Bachelor of Engineering (Civil).
