Job summary

SEE Group in Australia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its civil infrastructure teams across the South Coffs Harbour region. This full-time role focuses on programming, safety coordination, and the supervision of all technical aspects of road projects.

You will lead a project team, manage subcontractors and procurement, ensure compliance with legislation, and deliver monthly financial forecasts.

Qualifications

• Solid civil engineering experience with proven project management skills.
• Experience managing road or civil infrastructure projects and prioritizing work.
• Proven ability to negotiate and administer contracts and specifications.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles and project delivery.
• Computer literacy with MS Office and ERP systems.
• Leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills to guide teams.
• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) and Construction White Card required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and program site works and construction methodologies.
• Ensure project compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and standards.
• Coordinate employees, subcontractors, procurement, and plant/equipment.
• Lead the project team through changes in scope and activities.
• Coach and train staff within the department.
• Provide monthly assessments and forecasts of financial performance.
• Maintain safe working conditions for plant, equipment, and crews.

About the Opportunity

SEE Civil have an opportunity for experienced Project Managers to our busy construction teams working on civil infrastructure projects across the South Coffs Harbourregion.This is a full-time opportunity where you will be responsible for managing a road project's programming, safety coordination, subcontractor management and supervision of all technical aspects of the project.

Responsibilities will include

• Responsible and accountable for the effective programming and construction methodologies of all site works.
• Responsible for project compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and standards.
• Responsible and accountable for the coordination of employees, subcontractors, procurement, plant and equipment required.
• Lead and support the project team through project activities and any changes to the project scope.
• Coaching, mentoring and training of relevant staff and identify and develop staff within the department.
• Responsible for monthly assessments and forecasts of project's financial performance.
• Ensure that plant, equipment, staff and subcontractors operate within safe working conditions.

Essential Skills and Attributes

• Solid demonstrated civil engineering experience including proven management skills, practices and planning ability.
• Demonstrated experience managing a project and maintaining focus on priorities.
• Highly effective skills in negotiating, evaluating and administering contracts, specifications,
• The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Knowledge of Engineering principles and experience in actual project delivery.
• Computer literacy, particularly experience working with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
• Highly effective planning, organising and problem-solving skills together with the ability to lead, motivate and influence others.
• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil).
• Construction White Card.
