Job summary

Bryant Building Contractors is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of building and construction projects across the Brisbane and Gold Coast regions. The role will initially focus on delivery within the greater Brisbane area, with alignment to either Brisbane or Gold Coast operations.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage project delivery from initiation through to completion, meeting scope, budget and program requirements.
• Define project goals and deliverables in collaboration with senior management, clients and other stakeholders.
• Plan, schedule and monitor project timelines, budgets and quality performance, including subcontractors.
• Source, engage and manage subcontractors and suppliers, including quotes, contracts and performance.
• Provide leadership and direction to Site Supervisors and project support staff across the project team.
• Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental and quality requirements, and Bryant’s Integrated Management System (BIMS).
• Prepare and review progress claims, purchase orders and project reporting.
• Liaise with clients, architects, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure contractual and quality obligations are met.
• Identify and manage project risks, changes to scope and contingency planning throughout the project lifecycle.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Bryant team, supporting the delivery of building and construction projects across the Brisbane and Gold Coast regions.

The role will initially be focused on project delivery within the greater Brisbane area, with the position ultimately aligned to either our Brisbane or Gold Coast operations.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will take ownership of the successful delivery of building and construction projects from commencement through to completion. You will lead and coordinate all aspects of project delivery, managing scope, program, budget, quality and stakeholder relationships to ensure contractual requirements are met and projects achieve successful outcomes for both Bryant and our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

Direct and manage project delivery from initiation through to completion, meeting scope, budget and program requirements

Define project goals and deliverables in collaboration with senior management, clients and other stakeholders

Plan, schedule and monitor project timelines, budgets, costs and quality performance, including subcontractors

Source, engage and manage subcontractors and suppliers, including quotes, contracts and performance

Provide leadership and direction to Site Supervisors and project support staff across the project team

Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental and quality requirements, and Bryant’s Integrated Management System (BIMS)

Prepare and review progress claims, purchase orders and project reporting

About You

Minimum five to ten years’ experience in a Project Management role within the construction industry

Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Construction Management or a related discipline

Demonstrated experience managing building and construction projects with values ranging from $4 million to $20 million

Experience delivering large-scale townhouse or multi-residential developments will be highly regarded

Demonstrated experience across a diverse range of construction sectors, such as education, health, commercial and industrial, will be advantageous

Demonstrated experience delivering projects under Design & Construct (D&C) contract models

Strong commercial acumen with experience in budgets, cost control, procurement and progress claims

Sound knowledge of construction contracts and contractual requirements

Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills

Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving capabilities

Ability to interpret construction plans, drawings and project documentation

Strong commitment to safety, quality and environmental performance

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions in real time

Current Driver Licence and Construction White Card

Ability to travel where required

Demonstrated skills in Jobpac or similar cost management software desirable

Demonstrated skills in Procore or similar project management software desirable

Intermediate skills in MS Project and the Microsoft Office suite

Builders Licence will be highly regarded
