Job summary

Bryant Building Contractors is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of building and construction projects as Bryant expands into the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales. You will own projects from initiation to completion, coordinating scope, program, budget and quality while managing stakeholder relationships.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will direct site teams, ensure WHS and environmental compliance, review progress, and liaise with clients, architects

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience in project management within construction.
• Experience supervising commercial projects valued between $4M and $20M.
• D&C project delivery experience is advantageous.
• Tertiary qualifications in PM or CM or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage project delivery from initiation through to completion, meeting scope, budget and program requirements.
• Define project goals and deliverables with senior management, clients and stakeholders.
• Plan, schedule and monitor timelines, budgets, costs and quality, including subcontractors.
• Source, engage and manage subcontractors and suppliers, including quotes, contracts and performance.
• Provide leadership and direction to Site Supervisors and project staff.
• Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental and quality requirements and BIMS.
• Prepare and review progress claims, purchase orders and project reporting.
• Liaise with clients, architects, engineers and stakeholders to meet contractual obligations.
• Identify and manage risks, scope changes and contingency planning.

The Role

As part of Bryant’s planned expansion into the Northern Rivers region, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support our growth and future project delivery in the area.

Reporting to the relevant Regional Manager, you will take ownership of the successful delivery of building and construction projects from commencement through to completion. You will lead and coordinate all aspects of project delivery, managing scope, program, budget, quality and stakeholder relationships to ensure contractual requirements are met and projects achieve successful outcomes for both Bryant and our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Direct and manage project delivery from initiation through to completion, meeting scope, budget and program requirements.
• Define project goals and deliverables in collaboration with senior management, clients and other stakeholders.
• Plan, schedule and monitor project timelines, budgets, costs and quality performance, including subcontractors.
• Source, engage and manage subcontractors and suppliers, including quotes, contracts and performance.
• Provide leadership and direction to Site Supervisors and project support staff across the project team.
• Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental and quality requirements, and Bryant’s Integrated Management System (BIMS).
• Prepare and review progress claims, purchase orders and project reporting.
• Liaise with clients, architects, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure contractual and quality obligations are met.
• Identify and manage project risks, changes to scope and contingency planning throughout the project lifecycle.

About You

• Minimum five years' experience in a Project Management role within the construction industry.
• Demonstrated experience supervising and coordinating commercial construction projects valued between $4 million and $20 million.
• Experience delivering medium-rise multi-residential projects will be highly regarded.
• Demonstrated experience across a diverse range of construction sectors, such as education, health, commercial and industrial, will be advantageous.
• Demonstrated experience working on Design & Construct (D&C) projects.
• Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience managing building and construction projects.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in budgets, cost control, procurement and progress claims.
• Sound knowledge of construction contracts and contractual requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to interpret construction plans, drawings and project documentation.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and environmental performance.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and make sound decisions in real time.
• Current Driver Licence and Construction White Card.
• Ability to travel where required.
• Demonstrated skills on Jobpac or similar cost management software desirable.
• Demonstrated skills in Procore or similar project management software desirable.
• MS Project and Microsoft suite intermediate skills is a minimum.
• Builders Licence will be highly regarded.
