Job summary

Tungsten Mining is seeking an accomplished Project Execution Director to lead the execution of major growth projects from study through construction, commissioning and handover, delivering assets that support the global energy transition.

Reporting to the GM Projects & Operational Readiness, you will be accountable for safety, cost, schedule, quality and operational readiness objectives across all project phases.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Construction Management required.
• 15+ years in major project delivery with leadership responsibilities.
• Expertise in project controls, contracts, construction, and commissioning.
• Experience in mining, mineral processing, or heavy industry environments.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and commercial acumen.
• Commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of major mining and processing projects.
• Develop and manage project execution plans and delivery strategies.
• Drive contractor, procurement and commercial performance.
• Oversee cost, schedule, risk and contingency management.
• Ensure safe and compliant project delivery across all phases.
• Lead commissioning, performance testing and handover to Operations.
• Provide project reporting and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

The Role

We are seeking an accomplished Project Execution Director to lead the execution of our major growth projects from study phase through construction, commissioning and operational handover, playing a pivotal role in delivering assets that will support the global energy transition.

Reporting to the GM Projects & Operational Readiness, you will be accountable for the successful delivery of sanctioned capital projects, ensuring safety, cost, schedule, quality and operational readiness objectives are achieved

• Lead the end-to-end execution of major mining and processing projects.
• Develop and manage project execution plans, delivery strategies and project controls.
• Drive contractor, procurement and commercial performance.
• Oversee project cost, schedule, risk and contingency management.
• Ensure safe and compliant project delivery across all phases.
• Lead commissioning, performance testing and seamless handover to Operations.
• Provide project reporting and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, financiers and key stakeholders

About You

You are an experienced project delivery leader with a proven track record of successfully delivering major resource or heavy industrial projects through construction and commissioning. Key requirements of this role include the following.

• Degree qualifications in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 15+ years' experience in major project delivery, including significant leadership responsibility.
• Strong expertise in project controls, contract management, construction execution and commissioning.
• Experience working within mining, mineral processing or heavy industrial environments.
• Exceptional leadership, stakeholder engagement and commercial acumen.
• A commitment to safety, accountability and operational excellence
