The Opportunity
Coordinate signalling engineering and installation on a rail maintenance facility project at Ormeau. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will connect design, procurement and construction assurance with site and off-site delivery, preparing the works for testing and commissioning handover.
Your Responsibilities
- Review circuit books, drawings, specifications and materials schedules for installation readiness.
- Develop construction work packs, inspection plans, checklists and work instructions.
- Manage technical queries and proposed changes through approved design controls.
- Coordinate procurement and material readiness and support supervisors with resources, access and sequencing.
- Resolve interfaces with designers, subcontractors and other engineering disciplines.
- Monitor programme performance and elevate delivery risks and resource constraints.
- Maintain inspection evidence, defect close-out, red-line drawings and as-built records for handover.
- Undertake certification only within demonstrated competence and formally assigned authority.
RequirementsSkills, Education And Requirements
- An engineering bachelor degree and at least three years in signalling engineering or construction.
- Knowledge of signalling drawings, circuit books, work packs, inspection documentation and rail standards.
- Experience with MicroLok, axle counters and signalling power systems; ETCS exposure is desirable.
- Ability to coordinate work packages, procurement and technical interfaces.
- Strong organisation, communication and construction-quality record management.
- RPEQ registration and a relevant Certificate IV in Rail Signalling are desirable; relevant experience and a clear pathway toward these credentials may also be considered.
- Ability to maintain the training, competence and authorisations for assigned rail safety duties.
- Primavera P6 capability is desirable.
