Job summary

Multicultural Consulting Services Pty seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to deliver signalling power and LV/ELV design for railway projects in Perth. You will develop design documentation and support construction teams through surveys, reviews and technical resolutions.

Reporting to engineering leadership, you will coordinate interfaces across electrical, signalling, civil and structural disciplines and apply Safety in Design, QA and rail standards to ensure compliant, high-quality

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Five+ years designing electrical infrastructure, LV/ELV or signalling power.
  • Knowledge of Australian rail environments and standards (AS/NZS 3000, AS/RISSB, PTA WA).
  • Proficiency with design/drafting software such as MicroStation or AutoCAD.
  • Strong design-process, Safety in Design and quality-management knowledge.
  • Chartered status and RIW accreditation preferred.

The Opportunity

Deliver signalling power and low-voltage electrical design for rail train-control modernisation in Perth. Reporting to engineering leadership, you will develop design documentation and support construction teams through surveys, reviews and technical resolution.



Your Responsibilities


  • Prepare and review power calculations, drawings, models, specifications and technical reports.

  • Coordinate signalling, electrical, communications, civil and structural design interfaces.

  • Conduct inspections, surveys, constructability checks and interdisciplinary reviews.

  • Apply Safety in Design, WHS, environmental and ISO 9001 quality requirements.

  • Assess technical risks, develop value improvements and support procurement and construction.

  • Clarify requirements and resolve design queries with project stakeholders.



RequirementsSkills, Education And Requirements


  • A bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

  • At least five years designing electrical infrastructure, particularly LV, ELV or signalling power.

  • Knowledge of Australian rail environments, AS/NZS 3000, AS/RISSB and rail authority requirements, including PTA WA.

  • Design and drafting software proficiency, such as MicroStation or AutoCAD.

  • Strong design-process, Safety in Design and quality-management knowledge.

  • Eligibility for Chartered status, relevant professional registration and RIW accreditation is preferred.
