Job summary

Recruitment Engineering Services (RES) partners with Queensland Rail to recruit an experienced Signalling engineer in Brisbane. You will lead signalling engineering capability across the full project lifecycle, from design and renewals through implementation, testing and commissioning, delivering ETCS integration into the SEQ network.

You will manage a small team of signal engineers, review designs and reports, and collaborate with stakeholders to shape signalling strategy and support the ETCS

Qualifications

• Strong background in signal design and ETCS knowledge.
• Experience delivering signalling engineering solutions in a regulated rail environment.
• Experience coaching and leading multi-disciplinary project teams.

Job description

Recruitment Engineering Services (RES) is partnering with Queensland Rail to find an experienced Signalling individual for its embedded ETCS Alliance team in Brisbane. You'll lead signalling engineering capability across the full project lifecycle, from design and renewals through to implementation, testing and commissioning and help deliver ETCS and its integration into the Queensland Rail SEQ network.

What you'll do

• Lead a small team of signal engineers to deliver projects to scope, quality, safety, budget and timeframe
• Review designs and reports, manage workshops
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to shape signalling strategy
• Collaborate with key ETCS stakeholders across Queensland Rail to support the ETCS Program

To be suitable for the role you will likely have:

• Strong background in signal design
• ETCS L1 / L2 preferable, other digital signalling experience such as CBTC will also be considered
• Knowledge of Testing & Commissionng / Checking
• Delivery of business-focused signalling engineering solutions
• Experience in coaching and leading multi-disciplinary project teams within a complex regulatory environment
• Extensive knowledge of applying statutory and regulatory standards for safety, environmental and HR obligations in a commercially governed rail environment
• QR Competencies along with QR network knowledge
• ETCS L2 (CBTC will also be considered)
